my sister has been on dialysis for 15 years since she was 35. She has been reporting to the staff for over 8 months that she aches all over. Finally they ran a special blood test and found she has high levels of mineral deposits, amyliodosis. They've changed out her dialyzer to one that can help filter more of the minerals, but have done nothing to address her crippling pain. She literally sobs for 3 hours after dialysis from the pain, and is on the edge of tears on non dialysis days.
I can't watch this and need help knowing what to do. She hasn't seen a doctor in over a year, and the PA is at the center intermittently, at best.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have been watching her deteriorate rapidly and am frightened. I am her older sister, and we have no other family.
Thank you
Wendy

Wendy,
I'm sorry to hear of the problems your sister is having. I sent you an email, I hope it helps.
