Brady,<
>It appears to me that we would not be allowed to allowed to discuss the<
>abuses. It appears that though not suprised it is our government doesnt<
>intend on cleaning anything up.<
>What we are interested in patient rights and standards that were promised 5<
>years ago. You and industry is whom has all along have the status of quo.<
>There is to much graft in it and it will never be cleaned up by the<
>government, as you have allowed this to continue for over 30 years.<
>It appears Brady that we will have to continue with public awareness and<
>demonstrations as you the government have allowed and continued to protect<
>the patients as the government has let them down.<
>You are aware and still continue to do nothing. The ESRD NETWORK needs to<
>go.<
>Thank God for America, as we have the rights to disagree with those<
>appointed to allow this mass abuses of our citizens. You have full knowledge<
>and want just a few hand selected patients owned by the industry to be yes<
>men. YOu want it white washed and we will continue to get the message out.<
>YOu my friend are one of the abuser. Mr Scully knows how the game is<
>played...he was on the board.<
>Thank you for being honest as you want to quiet the truth. YOu will have to<
>face up to the fact that government has fail this group and you still<
>sanction the abuses. You had no intention of changing anything.<
>One does what one needs to do, when one governments fail them. WE will<
>continue the site, as we are getting stronger daily. We will start<
>demonstrating and to continue the lawsuits. You my friends in DC have sold<
>out to the dollar and the Corporation. You have taken the 30 pieces of<
>silver it appears.<
>The government has allowed this group to have no rights and to abuses that<
>we smear other countrys for human rights. It is alive and well right here in<
>the industry of dialysis. You have known for 5 years with horrible documents<
>and you still have done nothing to save lives.<
>Hope you sleep well at night and you or no one else close to you gets ESRD.<
>We tried to
ing this forword, but others who know this administration well<
>stated it would be called off, but you know the truth, so whether or not we<
>meet, Scully will still be accountable as will this administration.<

>>Brady,<
>>You are concerned about the meeting. You must realize that you are in<
>>a<
>>public arena, appointed by our elected officials and have failed this<
>>group<
>>of patients. How can you believe in your elected officials when you<
>>want to<
>>tie ones hands in their views. This is no secret what is happening, and<
>>not<
>>once have you tried to see the patients side. You have stated that you<
>>have<
>>patients, whose patients. This is always been one sided. I am<
>>frustrated<
>>with our elected officials and that I am to say only what you want me<
>>to it<
>>appears. I have been trying to work with you for 5 years, the<
>>information on<
>>the Senate hearings was mine. The fact remains that ESRD will not<
>>change in<
>>behalf of the patients and not the industry, due to the fact that you<
>>are<
>>going to limit the input one way or another as been the mode of<
>>operation<
>>from this administration in CMS. You want to once again not listen to<
>>both<
>>sides. I have asked who is going to be there. It is costing our<
>>patients<
>>money and is it just you and Ida,,that is a simple question. I will not<
>>have<
>>more promises to show up there with patients with limited incomes to<
>>come to<
>>a meeting with hope in their eyes.<
>>Everything that was in the last email was what we have discussed over<
>>the<
>>phone. Personal attacks, I can see how you see that. But Mr. Scully was<
>>on<
>>the board of directors for a dialysis company and knows well and good<
>>how it<
>>is. This information has been known for 5 years and to date not one<
>>thing<
>>has changed in the patients behalf. You can understand my reservation<
>>and<
>>then to go and spend the money as I did with the Senate hearing to<
>>have<
>>nothing done. My frustration is that nothing is being done, and only<
>>hand<
>>pointed individuals are allowed to be on the committee making changes.<
>>This<
>>is how I feel and have been fighting for rights for citizens against a<
>>government that hasnt made one change.<
>>As I said in our phone conversation, I have spent 5 years and played to<
>>the<
>>governments song, only my frustration lies that something so HORRIBLE<
>>isnt<
>>dealt with quickly. This is not about being liked or my ideas being<
>>liked,<
>>but to have a fair forum for the patients to have action taken and not<
>>to<
>>continue to study a bad situation. I still feel that this one sided.<
>>My question is and still not answered. Are the decision makers you and<
>>Ida?<
>>This is a fair question as it is costing us the money to come up and<
>>meet<
>>with you. If you want an open dialogue, thats fine, but you need to<
>>also<
>>work with those of us that are what you call "politically incorrect" by<
>>your<
>>standards. You need to realize that we have been made promises and let<
>>down<
>>time after time. Our element of trust is going to take time to see<
>>that<
>>improvements are going to be made honestly. It has been five years, I<
>>am<
>>sure you can understand my frustration. I dont get paid for this.<

>IT APPEARS THAT WE HAVE GET ACTIVE...I WILL BE MEETING WITH REV AL SHARPTONS GROUP IN AUGUST. PATIENTS ARE WELCOME IT WILL BE IN CALIFORNIA. I DONT KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I AM TAKING IT TO THE STREET. WE CAN DO THIS! I HAVE NEVER STATED ANYTHING THAT WE BACK DOWN FROM. IT IS NOW PUBLIC AWARENESS AS THE GOVERNMENT IT APPEARS IS INDUSTRY AND CORPORATE OWNED.<

This is my last response to the government. We had to encompass all that are responsible. So it looks as if we can concentrate in other arenas, as we know the governments stance.<
>Mr. Thompson,<
>I was the original whistleblower for the Senate Committee on Aging for the dialysis industry. It appears that the meeting was cancelled as we are not worthy of an audience.<
>The abuses and corruption in the dialysis industry with the documentation and with 3 Federal Investigations for the Senate Committee on Aging. This industry has been found to be self serving and policing themselves and patients are dumped to die. We are the organization that has
ought this govt. attention. It would appear that Mr. Scully whom was on the board of DaVita and they were under Federal Investigation at the time.<
>The fact remains that the government has known that patients have been dumped out of units for merely questioning. As you know this group of physicians are immune from the Anti Kick back and the Stark Law receiving the "safe harbor". This has led to patients being sold by some of the physicians and the patients have been sold to the non-profits for up to $100,000.00 and the physician was left to administrate for the non-profits and themselves receiving stock options as these companies are on the Stock Market.<
>I have provided documents that the Senate COmmittee on Aging has had since our hearings in 2000. Nothing has been done and our patients have no voice, as they are owned by the physician. Then add in self policing all the way up to Civil Rights in DC, a complaint is given to CMS to ESRD NETWORKS that are boarded with the industry. Leaving the patients at risk as they are retaliated against, including death and the contracted body by the government has allowed these abuses to happen. <
>You can pull up our web site at http://www.dialysisethics.org/<
>This meeting was cancelled by the office manager of Skully as they dont agree with our views. I personally have provided the government with ample opportunity with documents and patients who have paid the price and are scared to death of retaliation. Your office may feel that our group is of no importance and the patients can be disposed of and their deaths no one is accountable. I would suggest you read our website and the FYI and public records are disturbing.<
>It saddens me that with Mr. Scully's cancelling our meeting after some patients have purchased tickets with hope in their eyes, to have them denied the same opportunity as the industry has had.<
>This is only to let you know that this administration has let this group of patients who have endured self policing and retaliation and many units human rights and Civil Rights are being denied. The industry has it set up that they receive the complaints. As I am disappointed that your office doesnt want to be fair and hear all sides. It has been 5 years that I
ought this to the governments attention and have been waiting 3 years for Standards of Care. <
>Mr. Scully has left us no other choice but to go to the streets with Public Awareness and working with the National Action Network. It appears that as disappointed as I am,,,,I will continue with "civil disobedience", as this is the only avenue your office has left me.<
>I just wanted to have this correspondence as this way the administration has done nothing with full knowledge. Ones government should not decide who is important enough to meet. Our side has been well documented in DC for 5 years.<
>Thank you<

I did have hopes Mr. Scully and CMS were out to redeem themselves. Don't they realize this is only going to make themselves look worse.

I feel that this is will be constructive. I am looking at this as productive and we should go in with open minds.<

"Like me, you could.....be unfortunate enough to stumble upon a silent war. The trouble is that once you see it, you can't unsee it. And once you've seen it, keeping quiet, saying nothing, becomes as political an act as speaking out. Either way, you're accountable."
