I've recently become involved with the Colorado Rapid Response Network (CRRN). I attended a training session and I was at the Aurora Fletcher Plaza protest on January 25th. (looks like you didn't cover it?) And I'll add I'm on CRRN's Telegram channel waiting to show up at a live ICE raid (just to observe).
I thought I ought to check more into who my new friends are. As far as I can tell they look like a coalition of different groups. One group in particular has me concerned: the Denver Party of Socialism and Liberation. The training session I went to was in their building at 3100 N. Downing. And I see they helped put out an alert for their next training session on Reddit. At first blush I thought they might be a nice little organization in favor of something like Scandinavian socialism, which wouldn't bother me. But no, a google search showed the PSL is communist - that bothers me!
Being a cold war warrior and veteran I've got alarm bells going off! My politics are a bit left of center - but not that far left! To give you an idea I was a phone bank captain for Senator Elizabeth Warren during her 2020 campaign for president.
I plan on staying with CRRN for now, but I'm a little more leery of some of the people involved. You might do myself and others a favor if you investigated the ties of this organization - just to let people know what they might be getting involved in.
