Rep. Boebert,

You can congratulate your colleague Senator Bill Cassidy for helping to break the shutdown logjam!  It didn't surprise me a bit to see he was the person who came up with the Flexible Savings Account idea!  I know he must have studied the idea back in the day when he and Senator Susan Collins took a look at the Singapore health system. I wrote about it in this Coloradoan 2017 letter to the editor. His idea looks very similar to Singapore's Medisave program. My mantra lately has been: "Anything that makes our healthcare system look like Singapore's I'm probably in favor of".

So what could be the next step?  I have to wonder if a government-run, public option for catastrophic insurance would be good?  Much like Singapore's Medishield program.  However I realize that might be an idea better left to the Democrats?  But I decided to throw it out there and let you decide!  And since the Republicans seem to be on a roll giving power to the people and away from the insurance companies with the FSA accounts, possibly you and they might be interested in something like small care coops for kidney dialysis patients?  This is also something I've also written about: 2023 Blog. Patients and staff hiring and firing management - what a concept.  I may have mentioned why I'm less than impressed with large, for-profit management.

So again, some congratulations are in order.  And I hope I've provided some food for thought.
