My wife and I had a good time in your city! I wrote about the stroll portion of it in this blog. Now I can dream that you and your fellow law people will help a billionaire mend his ways before it is too late! A crazy dream, but about crazy, the Great Prophet Waylon Jennings once sang: "I've always been crazy, but It's kept me from going insane!".

While I'm crazy dreaming I would say if I had a magic money wand like Buffett, I like to think I would wave it and create the following. I just thought I would share it.

Probably be back next year!

I consider things like fire departments part of our infrastructure. Shopping around for different fire departments isn't a choice when your house is ablaze. You want what is closest, and you want the job done professionally - and you don't expect the fire department to profit off you during your time of need!

So why does Mr. Buffett feel there is an exception when a person's body is on fire - it is then ok to profit off the vulnerable? Specifically I'm thinking of kidney dialysis. Actually a person has two choices - get dialysis or die! That 2nd choice isn't much of a choice is it? And much like the fire departments a person is usually locked in to what is close geographically. It looks like a monopolistic capitalist's dream! But over the decades, it has looked like a patient's nightmare! So many indications are care has been compromised in pursuit of the almighty dollar, with his company DaVita in the thick of the scandals and delivering awful patient care numbers (but I'm sure investment return numbers have been just fine). EVEN KIDS HAVE BEEN AFFECTED!!!

A 2nd question might be what would Mr. Buffett have against things like small care coops? It might be nice to have management sweating a layoff for a change!

At 94 years old Mr. Buffett might be considering what there is in the Great Beyond? Who knows, maybe the Ghost of Charlie Munger has been whispering to him. It might not be too late to rectify some of the mistakes he has made.

P.S. I'm going to be in the Omaha area May 2nd to the 4th. I look forward to meeting more nice people - it has been surprising to find so many folks well acquainted with dialysis at these Omaha meetings! (their friends and relatives have seen it up close and personal, R.I.P.)

To whom it may concern,

I thought I would make you aware of a Walk in Omaha this coming May 3rd - this coincides with Warren Buffett's annual stockholders' meeting. I'm only trying to help a billionaire on the Road to Redemption - at 94 years old he might want to start hedging his bets about what is waiting for him in the Great Beyond!

This will be my 3rd trip and I must admit so far these trips have been lightly attended - to put it mildly (hard to get people to come to a dialysis party, go figure). However NYT’S best-selling author Tom Mueller - recent book 'How To Make a Killing' - has called me a prophet. Actually I feel more like Don Quijote with a peashooter - my wife would agree with this last assessment (so mean). But I can only try.

To show I mean business, I'll say I've already written to an Omaha police officer, a police officer I've written the last couple of years. And now I've begun writing the media. The least I can do is raise a little awareness.

So let me know if you would like to go further with this! I'm sure people will soon be lining up at my door to talk to me! (I crack me up) If nothing else, I'm looking forward to talking to some nice people in Omaha.

And I will say this is the most horrific example of the pitfalls of the corporatization of our democracy that I’ve ever seen! And I’ve been watching this for decades.

I just thought I would let you know I plan to once again show up to do a stroll and hand out flyers to make people aware of what has been going on with one of Buffett's "investments". He really should have kept his hands off something that is more infrastructure, a public service. I wrote about this year's trip in this blog. And I wrote about when and where I'm starting in the 2nd half of this webpage. Also I'll mention this year's attendance will at least double! My wife has agreed to come along, though she says she is there to see the sights. She doesn't like banging her head into a wall like I do. However I will say in both trips I've done, I've run into quite a few nice people, people who have had friends or relatives that had been on dialysis.

What can I say? When you see your kid suffer needlessly, it leaves a mark. When you see your friends die around you, it leaves a mark. When you read stats like this, it leaves a mark!

But despite it all, I do wish Mr. Buffett a Road to Redemption.
