How the FTC's ban on noncompete contracts could help Kidney Dialysis

(this is written in response to a poster on X who was concerned about migrants and the personal experiences of the Chinese community in Chicago: the article. I thought it would be good to point out my personal experiences with the over-privileged, this is my reply to the X poster)

Since I don't have a problem with migrants in my neighborhood, I'm not going to offer an opinion here.  But what I can tell you about, is something I do have very much experience with.  I've had to watch my kid suffer at the hands of barely trained dialysis techs (story for another time).  It has left an anger in me that has lasted 20+ years - my background.  Despite any success my friends and I have had in fighting this, I knew we were only putting a band-aid on the problem!  The problems still continued, and I've had to see at least one ceo do his 'dance on the backs of the bruised' while I watched.  Party on Thiry - and thanks to Nine Inch Nails for that quote.

But finally, after years and years of waiting, along came somebody and her friends who wanted to get to one of the fundamental problems in kidney dialysis!  A lack of competition!  The nephrologists - kidney doctors - have been kept in gilded cages for years in jobs they may loathe by noncompete contracts.  But then out of the blue (pun intended) came the best FTC chair since the New Deal!  Lina Khan!  She has been putting up one hell of an effort to put the kabash on noncompetes!  But unfortunately also out of the blue (pun intended) has come billionaire and Dem donor Reid Hoffman and his cronies to put the kabash on Lina Khan's job!  You might be starting to understand why I have a problem with corporate politicians and our corporate, monopolistic, business-run democracy.  I can be a pro-choice, not just in abortion, capitalist who has seen the worst of what a lack of options can do in a field of medicine.

You might understand why I've gravitated towards the anti-monopoly writers you will see in the following list I've linked to: (with NYT's best-selling author Tom Mueller's book 'How To Make a Killing' really hitting home)

Being an equal opportunity hater, besides taking a shot at blue dem donor billionaire Reid Hoffman I just had to include another billionaire
